The year of the Rooster found us caught up in festive family travels. First it was to Chicago to visit with and celebrate the 89th birthday of my mother who had just entered a retirement community. Afterwards we went to Dallas to visit my children and new three-month-old grandson. Amidst these travels I also had the pleasure to contact and meet with many Taiwanese Americans (wild geese) who had settled thereabouts.
